Daniel J. Gossel

Gossel, Daniel "Dan"-of Clio, age 68, died peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2022, at Henry Ford Hospice Home in Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Monday, May 23, 2022, at City Church -218 S. Mill Street, in Clio. Pastor Jim Marcus officiating. Burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. The family will receive visitors at the church on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at1PM. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Dan was born June 28, 1953, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Ernest and June (Palori) Gossel. He graduated from Elizabeth Ann Johnson High School in Mt. Morris with the class of 1971. Dan married the love of his life Mona Malone on November 10, 1973, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. They shared 48 wonderful years together. He worked for General Motors as a Job Setter for 31 years, he retired in 2004. Dan attended City Church in Clio. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. Dan enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing. He was always staying busy rather it be with home remodeling or furniture restoration. Family and his grandchildren were the most important thing to Dan. He was a devoted family man. Dan loved his classic rock, and when he could he enjoyed always being by a lake. Above all he was a great husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff at Henry Ford Hospital and Henry Ford Hospice in Jackson for the extraordinary care.
Surviving are: Daughters: Erika Gossel, and Stephanie (Alan) Yost; Grandchildren: Savannah and Jake Yost; Sisters: Susan (Patrick) Hebert, and Michele (Brian) Hunt; Several nieces and nephews.
