Daniel Walter Harbaugh

Daniel Walter Harbaugh, age 76, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025. He was born in Huntington Park, California. Dan grew up in Los Angeles County and spent most of his life there before moving to Detour Village, Michigan.
A dedicated truck driver by trade, Dan took pride in his work and at one point owned and operated his own company, DW Harbaugh Trucking, specializing in oil field contracts. He was a man who worked hard, valued independence, and built a life defined by perseverance and commitment.
Dan had a deep passion for history and an enduring fascination with watches, interests that reflected his thoughtful and curious nature. He will be remembered for his strength, his love for the open road, and the deep care he held for his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Harbaugh of Detour Village; son, David Harbaugh of Bellflower, California; grandson, Alexander Lee Haan, with whom he lived with in Detour Village; and his grandchildren in California, Kaylee, Adrian, Skylie, and Jaxson Harbaugh.
In accordance with his wishes, no memorial service will be held.
Dan's presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
