Daniel C. Hinton

Daniel C. Hinton, 29, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, unexpectedly at his home. His funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at West Center Baptist Church in Madison, SD with family present at 1 pm to greet visitors.

Daniel was born in Bogota, Colombia on April 17th, 1996. He and his sister, Lorena were adopted by Charles, and Maria on December 18th, 2003. The family lived in Nashville, TN until 2008, when they moved to Nunda, South Dakota.

During his younger years he practiced Tae Kwon Do reaching to the category of red belt. He loved football, basketball, wrestling, and track. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, and his four wheeler through the mud; he also dreamed about making music.
Daniel had a soft heart for children, elderly people, and dogs. He loved his family, and his dog Kota.

Despite his struggles he was a generous loving young man. His profound love for Jesus became deeper during the last couple of years. He was courageous while talking about the Gospel and praying with everyone who would hear, including strangers.

One of his favorite Bible verses was proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Rest in peace my loving brother; life will never be the same without you. We will miss you dearly, but we know you are no longer in pain, and I am so proud of the person you became despite all your struggles.

This is not a goodbye; this is an "I'll see you later my little brother" I love you Daniel. You will forever be my motivation.
