Daniel Richard Hudach of Bloomington, IN, born January 17, 1939, in Youngstown, Ohio, passed away on October 3rd, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for two years, an experience that shaped his sense of discipline and honor. Following his service, he enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at General Electric, where he spent many years testing airplane parts-work that reflected his sharp mind, steady hands, and unwavering attention to detail.
Beyond his professional life, Daniel found joy and happiness in the outdoors. He was an avid bass fisherman who not only loved the peace of being on the water but also embraced the thrill of competition, participating in numerous fishing tournaments. Golfing brought him many hours of enjoyment throughout his life. He also shared many stories of hunting trips that blended camaraderie with his love of nature.
Above all, Daniel was a family man. He is proceeded in death by his wife Jeanette (Carolyn) Gaines. He is survived by his beloved son, Christopher Hudach and wife Amy (Buckley) and their three children, Benjamin, Daniel and Brayden, his daughter, Jessica Urbina (Hudach) and husband Manuel Sr. and their four children, Camille, Isabel, Manny Jr., and Austin. His pride in his children and grandchildren was boundless, and his presence in their lives will be deeply missed. He also leaves behind many friends, including cherished friends Jerry Pagac and Mariette Gamble.
Daniel's life was a testament to hard work, quiet strength, and a deep appreciation for both family and the simple joys of life. Those who knew him will remember his steady spirit, his love of the outdoors, and the way his face would light up when surrounded by family and friends.
He will be dearly missed and forever remembered in the hearts of all who loved him.
A Memorial and Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
