Daniel Tretton "Trett" Hunsberger

Daniel Tretton Hunsberger, a resident of Cherokee County, Georgia, died March 24, 2024. Trett was born in Savannah, Georgia and was the youngest child of Carol Sanders and Dan Hunsberger.
Trett is survived by his children, Landry and Ayden Hunsberger; his mother and step-father, Carol Sanders and Ken Orth; his father and step-mother, Dan Hunsberger and Sherry Wileman; his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Scott Searcy; his step-brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Gina Wileman; his step-sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and David Hill; his nieces and nephews, Hamilton and Wells Searcy, Ella and William Wileman, and Maggie Hill; and a multitude of extended family.
Upon graduation from Chattahoochee High School, Trett attended Georgia Southern University to play soccer before joining the workforce in the Atlanta area where he resided until his passing.
Trett was known for his quick smile, his love of fun, his great hugs, and the love he showered on his boys. A natural athlete, Trett was always up for a pickup game of any kind. He never lost his love of sports-playing them or watching them. Trett was happiest when spending time outdoors and loved camping-especially with his boys.
One of Trett's favorite weeks of the year was the annual Hunsbergerfest during the week of Thanksgiving. The extended family has precious memories of his grin, his laugh, and his ability to launch the younger kids in the pool. Trett's time with his Savannah family was equally treasured, and he rarely missed the opportunity to be the part of a family gathering.
We are so thankful for all the time we were able to spend with Trett. He left us too soon.
Services will take place on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 11AM-Darby Funeral Home, 480 East Main Street, Canton, GA 30114.
