DANIEL INGRAM 03/07/1954 - 04/19/2025 ALEXANDRIA, IN - Daniel D. "Danny" Ingram, 71, entered peace and rest on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from Community Hospital in Anderson following an extended illness. Danny was born on March 7, 1954, in Paris, Illinois to Donald and Barbara (Bledsoe) Ingram. He was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1972. He worked in the Alexandria family business, Ingram Electric for several years, and continued to operate the business after his parents' passing. Dan devoted his life to the protection of Alexandria as a professional firefighter and its residents as an EMT through the Alexandria Fire Department. He became a new hire in 1979 and was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1986. In 1988, Dan was appointed Fire Chief, a position he held until 1996. He retired in 2010, with the rank of Assistant Chief after 31 years of dedicated service to Alexandria. He was a member of the former Alexandria Jaycees. He was a member of the Alexandria Eagles #1771. Dan enjoyed playing cards, especially poker and Texas hold em. He was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Danny will be fondly remembered as a reliable, dependable hard worker. He was generous to a fault and his leaving will leave a large hole in our community and the hearts of Alexandria residents. Danny was my cousin. We spent summers on the family farm in Paris lll. My favorite rembrance was when we worked the strawberry fields along with my older brother and younger sister. Danny would drive the old rambler backwards from the field to the house. Aunt Barbara would try to teach us how to drive in an open field. It was always a great time to have. Those were the best times of my life. I remember aunt Barbara told me to keep my nose clean and I would never blow it. Gosh darn it I miss them so much. Can't wait till we are all together again. Love you always Bonnie Bledsoe Cooke
