Daniel "Dan" Earl Isaacson, 57, of Shelton, Washington, passed away on April 7, 2024.
Dan was always full of life, always looking for his next adventure! There wasn't anybody that was going to stop him from living how he wanted to live! Dan had a smile you could see from a mile away! And charm, boy did Dan have his fair share of that! He was absolutely a charmer; he was a force of nature, if you will.
Dan is survived by his mother, Glenda Veach, stepfather Arthur Veach, mother-in-law Penny Hollinger, wife Malissa Fluetsch Isaacson, daughter Emma Fluetsch Isaacson, stepson Joseph Fluetsch, stepdaughter Tae'a Couillard, sister-in-law's Trisha Miller and Kara Chapen, brother-in-law and best friend George Fluetsch, uncle Ed Isaacson, aunt Phyllis Hurn, uncle William Hurn, lifelong friend Tracy McPherson, two grandchildren, four nieces, and one nephew. He is preceded in death by Grandma Hurn, father Fred W. Isaacson, father-in-law George E. Fluetsch Jr, brother Fred H. Isaacson, and high school sweetheart Karen Bodine.
Dan attended Peter G. Schmidt Primary School and Tumwater High School. He had his associate degree and was studying to finish his master's degree in Wastwater Treatment.
In his career, Dan was a journeyman electrician who worked for many companies in Thurston County. He particularly enjoyed his time at Don Graves Electric. He also bartended at McMenamin's in Lewis County before pursuing his passion for Wastwater Treatment.
Dan was incredibly talented. He had a knack for writing poems and even had numberous poems published in a local magazine. He was also a skilled soccer player in high school and was scouted to play in Europe.
A private viewing of Dan will be at Forest Funeral Home on Fri April the 19th and a small, private service will be held at the family home and is strictly for family and close friends. The family appreciates everyone's understanding and respect for their privacy during this difficult time. Attendees are requested to have their wrist band with them at the time of the viewing for security purposes.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to organ donation in memory of Dan Isaacson or at Dan's go fund me page. The family would be grateful for donations as Dan left medical bills behind as he did not have insurance of any kind, anything over that will go to his 16 year old daughter for college.
The Forest Funeral Home in Shelton, WA is assisting the family with arrangements.
