He was born in Wayland on February 17, 1975, and raised by his grandparents Mervin and Shirley Buchanon. On November 10, 1996, he was married to the former Sandra Green Jessmer, who survives.
Dan was a lifelong outdoorsman, farmer and truck driver currently working for Caskey and Brehm Farms in Springwater.
He is survived by his wife Sandy, two daughters Cassondra (Jody Buckley) Perry, Megan Jessmer, three sons Daniel Jessmer, Chad (Bethany) Perry and Caleb (Jennifer Schwab) Perry, nine grandchildren, Sandys family, Scott Green, Darrell Green, Todd (Colleen) Green, Tom (Denise Kuhn) Green, and Robert (Vicki Beach) Green.
A graveside service will be held on Monday November 3 at 11:00 am at Kiehle Cemetery in Sparta. A memorial reception will follow at the Wayland American Legion. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online memorials may be shared at HindleFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
