April 2, 1947 – August 7, 2025

Daniel Jimenez, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and community leader, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, in Oceanside, California, at the age of 78. Born April 2, 1947, in San Bernardino, California, Dan lived a life defined by love for his family, dedication to service, and a heartfelt commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

He was the proud father of two daughters, Joy Theios and Jill Burr, who were the center of his life. He poured his heart into his role as Grandpa to his six cherished

grandchildren - Shelby Burr, Carter Burr, Campbell Burr, Sloan Theios, Reece Theios, and Grace Theios - who brought him immeasurable happiness and pride. Dan is also lovingly remembered by his four sisters, his brother, nieces, nephews, great grand nieces and nephews, as well as his longtime companion Ferna Conradi all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Dan's life reflected his deep belief in the power of community. He served on the Board of Directors for the National Orange Show from 2004 to 2006 and became its CEO and President in March 2007. Under his leadership, the National Orange Show celebrated its agricultural roots, promoted local culture, and expanded its role as a gathering place for the community. He also contributed his time and insight as a member of the Redlands Country Club Board and was an active, proud member of the San Bernardino Elks Lodge.

A man of many passions, Dan found great happiness and freedom on the golf course, where he valued both the game and the camaraderie it inspired. When not hitting the links with friends, he could often be found cheering on his beloved UCLA Bruins, proudly sporting blue and gold and celebrating every victory.

Beyond his professional and personal pursuits, Dan had a generous spirit that reached far beyond San Bernardino. He was an ardent supporter of Best Buddies International, a charity dedicated to creating opportunities and enriching the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His advocacy for inclusion and opportunity reflected his compassion and his unwavering belief that everyone deserves to feel valued and connected.

Those who knew Dan will remember his warmth, humility, integrity, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. Whether in a boardroom, on the golf course, at a Bruins game, or in a casual conversation, Dan was a man who listened intently, acted with kindness, and gave generously of his time and talents. He will be missed deeply and remembered always.

Beloved family and friends will be able to celebrate Dans life at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino on September 6, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, where loved ones will gather to share stories, laughter and cherished memories.
