Daniel Lee Johnson

Daniel L. Johnson was born on October 23, 1941, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late James and Isabel Johnson. He passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 84.

Dan was the beloved father of James (Sharon) Johnson, Daniel (Suzanne) Johnson, and Matthew (Marisa) Johnson. He is also remembered by their mother and his former spouse, Barbara (Henry) Bechard.

He shared many years of his life with his second wife, Alice, and remained fond of her children: Gary (Georgia) Stanifer, Dawn (Paul) Finazzo, Mark (Jean) Stanifer, and Stu (Robin) Shuell.

He was the dear brother of Larry (Sharon) Johnson and the late Darlene Fisher, and an uncle to many cherished nieces and nephews. Dan took great pride in his growing family, including 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A lifelong mechanic, Dan had a passion for cars, tools, and attending swap meets. He enjoyed playing cards, and he spent many dedicated years working for General Motors before retiring and dividing his time between Michigan and Florida. He loved golfing, watching movies, and tending to his vegetable and fruit gardens. Some of his favorite moments were shared over pizza at the Alibi Restaurant.

Visitation will take place at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home,

8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke), Utica.

Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to The Parkinson's Foundation.
