Daniel Kalber Sr.

Daniel P. Kalber, Sr. of Milbank, SD passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in Watertown, SD. Private services will be held at a later date.
In loving memory of Daniel Peter Kalber, Sr. who was a devoted husband, cherished father, beloved grandfather and a dear brother who passed away at the age of 79.
Daniel Peter Kalber was born to Peter and Helen (Carr) Kalber. The family lived in South Bend, Indiana. Dan proudly served his country as a Marine and was a member of American Legion SD Post #9 in Milbank.
Dan was an avid card player and was known for his vibrant social spirit. He brought joy and laughter to every occasion whether it was a card game or Thursday morning coffee group at Living Word Lutheran Church. Dan's love for connecting with others and sharing in the simple pleasures of life will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Dan will be dearly missed by his wife, Lenore; his children, Kimberly (Jose) Gonzalez of Chesterfield, VA, Karen (Tim) Jenkins of Fredericksburg, VA, Jessica (Chad) Carlson of Leesburg, GA and Daniel (Alexandra) Kalber, Jr. of Winchester, VA; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Helen Martinez of Bedford, IN and George (Melissa) Kalber of Bloomfield, IN.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, William Howe, Barbara Wetter, Mary Vida, James Kalber, Nancy Collins, Kathy Kalber, Karen Kalber and his twin brother, David Kalber.
