Daniel S. Katz, 79, of Howard, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 19, 1942, in Santa Monica, CA to Sidney and Gertrude {Ewens} Katz.
Daniel served in the United States Army Reserve.
He married Barbara A. Noe on March 31, 1974. She survives.
He worked at Carolina/ABF Freight for 30 years. He enjoyed auto racing and cars.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Barbara, sons, Ronald (Nicole) of Apple Valley and Craig of Mount Vernon; grandchildren Steven and Nathan Katz,
; brother William (Mariann) Katz of Arizona, sister Susan Katz of California.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home- Mount Vernon Chapel, Mount Vernon. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Mayo officiating. Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County.
