Daniel Arthur Koppenhofer

Daniel Arthur Koppenhofer, 80, of Antwerp, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026 at The Gardens of Paulding.

Dan was born in Henry County, Ohio on September 6, 1945, a son of the late Valeta (Huner) and Melvin Koppenhofer.

He was a valued employee at General Motors. Dan loved boating and fishing. He will always be remembered for coaching the Buckeyes from his living room and his trips around town in his golf cart.

Dan will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty (Hormann); children, Troy Koppenhofer, Ty (Kim) Koppenhofer and Tasha (Tim) Panico; siblings, Janice (Howard) Oringer, Thomas (Jean) Koppenhofer, Dennis (the late Cathy) Koppenhofer, Tony (Lynesa Knick) Koppenhofer, Tim Koppenhofer and Karen (the late Orville) Dickerson; grandchildren, Megan (Jarod) Martenies, Jordan (A.J) Koppenhofer and Vanessa (Zach) Schwarzman and 8 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Harper Martenies.

Viewing is Wednesday, February 25th, 4 PM to 7 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp.

Dan's funeral service is Thursday, 10:30 AM, with viewing 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 3497 County Rd 424, Antwerp.

He will be laid to rest in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.

A meal to share more time with the family will be held at Main Street Occasions, 22256 Main St, Woodburn, IN, following the graveside service. 

Memorials are to the church and the Paulding County Senior Center.
