Daniel Kyle Busby Obituary

Daniel proudly served in the United States Army, where he was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield in Georgia, Fort Carson in Colorado, and Fort Rucker in Alabama. He completed three tours in Afghanistan and earned numerous awards for his dedication and bravery. In 2019, he medically retired with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Though his military career concluded, the bonds he formed and the principles he lived by remained ever-present.
He was a devoted husband to Jenna Busby and a proud father to Logan Busby and Benjamin Busby. He also lovingly embraced his role as stepfather to Jace Barrera and Aaron Barrera. His children were his greatest joy and the heart of his world.
Faith was central to Daniel's life. He regularly attended church services and aspired to become a minister-an expression of both his spiritual calling and desire to serve others. His deep love for the outdoors-camping, fishing, hunting, boating, and swimming-brought him peace and joy, especially when shared with family and friends.
Daniel will be remembered for his sharp sense of humor, tireless work ethic, and generous spirit. He brought laughter wherever he went and never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Jenna; sons, Logan and Benjamin; stepsons, Jace and Aaron; sister, Daisy Busby; brother, Dennis Busby; mother, Teresa Johnson; extended family, Candice and Scott Cooper and Ron and Tricia Wood. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beulah and Donald Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Ebensberger Fisher Funeral Home, 1265 N. Main Street, Boerne, TX 78006. The funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. followed by the interment at Boerne City Cemetery where he will receive US Army military honors.

I´m a Marine buddy of Daniel´s that found out too late to attend his funeral. He was a great man, great soldier and great friend and I wish I could have been there, I´m still in shock. I will never forget you and anytime I see a mail truck I will always think of you.
