Daniel C. Larson, 69, of Lake Park, MN, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, under the care of family and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Dan was born on February 7, 1955, in Augusta, GA, to David and Mary Ann (Theis) Larson. He grew up in Lake Park and graduated from Lake Park High School in 1973. Following high school, Dan continued his education at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Detroit Lakes. On September 26, 1981, he married Margaret Thielen in Mahnomen, MN. Together they made their home in Lake Park. Dan enjoyed his many years working with Cenex and serving his customers through propane delivery. Over the years, he also enjoyed staying active in the community, serving on the fire department, was fire warden for 36 years, was former mayor of Lake Park and a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He loved spending time outdoors, camping, hunting, and most of all spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Dan will be greatly missed.
Dan is survived by his wife Margaret; sons, Dustin (Diana) Larson of Moorhead, MN, Brandon (Arielle) Larson of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren, Cullen, Tyden, Adilee, Quinn, Beckem and Bennett; siblings, Doug (Judy) Larson, Pat (Jeff) Richtsmier, and Steve (Sherri) Larson; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation: Tuesday, February 11, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Lake Park, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, February 12, at 11:00 a.m., in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Lake Park, MN
