In Loving Memory of Daniel Lee Wade Burns
Our hearts are broken as we share the passing of Daniel Lee Wade Burns, 23, of New Albany, Indiana.
Those who knew Daniel knew his soul - kind, patient, and full of light. His mother always said he was a kind, respectful young man, whom she was proud of. He had a heart as big as his smile, always putting others before himself.
Daniel loved his family deeply, cherished time spent with friends, and lived life with quiet strength and a warm, giving spirit. He truly was a gentle giant, and the love he gave will live on especially through his daughter, Evelyn.
Daniel worked hard and took great pride in his job. He found passion, guidance and strong bonds working at Stemler Plumbing. He absolutely loved what he did and who he worked for. When he wasn't working, he found peace by the water - fishing and enjoying the quiet moments of life.
He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn Burns; her mother, Ashley Jones; his mother, Amanda Burns (Scott); his father, Jeff Burns (Brittany); his brother, Dalton Burns (Cheyann); his sisters, Lilliana and Layla Burns; and his grandparents, Rhonda Clark, Gayle Faith, and Willard Clark (Sherry).
He was preceded in death by his Aunt Joyce and brother Dakota Burns. A reunion that took all Daniel's pain away.
Though his time here was far too short, his memory will forever fill the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, his love, and his light will never fade.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service in the funeral home chapel.
