Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pucedo Funeral Home on Mar. 3, 2026.
Daniel R. Longo, 74 of Endicott, NY, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at UHS Wilson Hospital after a brief illness. He grew up in Endwell, NY and served in the US Navy from 1969 to 1973. Following his military service, he met the love of his life Julia, in 1975 and recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. Dan cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed being their personal Uber driver and was very involved in their many activities including golf, boating, fishing, vacationing, and beating them in Chess, Uno and Rummy. His son and family were the apple of his eye, never failing to be there for all of them through the good times as well as the tough times.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Mary Longo and his beautiful sisters, Marie and Betty; his in-laws, Joe and Josephine Coppola; his brother-in-law, Gerry Fisk.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Julia; his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Jennifer Longo; his cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas, Giuliana and Alaina whom he taught many things including how to be a wise guy and face life with love, humor, strength and grace. He is also survived by his brother and best friend, Joseph Longo; his brother, Vito Longo; his nephew Joey (Jennifer) Longo and baby Leon; his special niece, Michelle Middendorf and family; his nephew, Gregory Bates and family; his dear sisters-in-law, Antoinette Gunter and Grace Fisk; his brothers-in-law, Peter Coppola, Joseph (Debbie) Coppola; his dear nieces and nephews, Mary Beth (Brad), David (Amy), Amy (David), Amanda (Tim), Brad (Jen), Joey (Carolyn), Sean and his special great niece, Alicia (Jason) and their children, Nathan, Benjamin and Olivia; special great-nephew, Eric that used to call him GUD (Great Uncle Danny); also his great-niece , Adriana; also many friends in the area; work friend, Dawne Perfetti; his everyday Bermond Avenue confidant, Mike Wahila (how will Julie get the info on the street activities now). We all love you greatly Dan and didn't expect you to leave us so soon….but you left us well equipped to go on with life. Till we meet again, please protect and watch over all of us.
