Daniel P. MacDonald

Daniel P. MacDonald passed away on February 19, 2026, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 6, 1947, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Daniel and Rita (Eddis) MacDonald. He was married to his beloved wife, Donna (Kern), for 57 years.

Daniel attended Camden County College, Glassboro State College, and Temple University. He owned and operated a real estate and insurance business in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by his daughter, Donna Hewitt (Ed); his grandchildren, Brittany, Daniel, Kailey, Maggie, Brody, Kaitlin, Jude, Gavin, Colin, Connor, Dylan, Evangeline, Jasmine (Corey), Alex, Kayla (Trevor), Seth, and Damien; his great-grandchildren, Aura, Coleson, Noah, and Caia; his brothers, Joe (Jan) and Jim (Peggy); his daughters-in-law, Alicia and Allison; and Nicole (Butch).

He was predeceased by his sons, Daniel, Jude, and Gabriel.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 900 Sumneytown Pike, Upper Gwynedd Twp., PA 19446. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
