Norma F. Cossaboon

Norma F. Cossaboon, 88, of Pittsgrove Twp. passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the Advanced Subacute Rehabilitation Center in Sewell.

Born in Atlantic City to the late Howard Cossaboon and Laura Sloyer Cossaboon, she had been a Pittsgrove Twp. resident for the last 50 years. Prior to living in Pittsgrove she had resided in Philadelphia for a brief time as well as Bridgeton and Rosenhayn, she had lived in the area for over 70 years.

Norma graduated from Glassboro State College with a Bachelors degree in education. She then went on to work for the Millville Public School district as a teacher, impacting lives for many years, In her free time, she enjoyed crafting of all sorts, which ranged anywhere from Christmas ornaments to ceramics. She had also been a member of the local Stitch N' B*tch club, where she and many other retired teachers would meet monthly. She also had a passion for animals and wildlife, often rescuing and rehabilitating animals that needed help. Norma would take in any animal whether a raccoon, opossum, cat, dog, or anything that needed her help, and she was also a supporter of her local SPCA. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and bowling. She had also been a faithful longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church in Bridgeton.

She is survived by; her brother, David B. Cossaboon (Donna) of VA; her sister, Laura Hanaoka (Mark); nieces and nephews, Jeff Cossoboon of UT, Pam Morgan of GA, Greg Cossaboon (Jamie) of Monroeville, Melissa Venable (Paul) of VA, David R. Cossaboon (Betsy) of VA, Danny Cossaboon (Jerilyn) of WY, Derek Cossaboon (Cindy) of CO, Brett Hanaoka of Bridgeton, Mark Hanaoka of Bridgeton and Dana Calagero (Anthony) of FL.; and 13 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by; her brothers, Richard and Travers Cossaboon; and her parents, Howard and Laura Cossaboon.
