Robert F. Walukiewicz, 91, of Pittsgrove Twp., passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at his home under the care of his family and hospice.
Born in
Shenandoah, PA to the late Bernard Walukiewicz and Pauline Kruszynsky Walukiewicz, he had been the husband of the late Marilyn C. Walukiewicz, who passed away March 15, 2025. He had been a resident of Centerton since 1968, prior to that, he had lived in Millville and PA. Robert had been a graduate of Frackville High School Class of 1952 in PA.
Robert had worked for Owens Illinois, running the corrugating machine, making cardboard boxes until they closed. He then worked for Ivex Paper Mill in Vineland, then moved on to work for the Centerton Country Club as a groundskeeper. He had retired from Pittsgrove Township works. After discovering retirement was a little too boring for him, he worked as a truck driver for Giardano's Recycling in Vineland.
Robert was a member of the Owens Illinois Club, Buckshutem Antlers, Lucky Roamers Motorcycle Club and a long standing member of the Centerton Fire Company where he served as Chief from 1988 to 1990 and again from 1995 to 1996. He had joined the fire company in 1970 and continued his active membership until he had to take a step back to care for his wife. In his later years he had also been a member of the SJ Bass Stalkers. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing cars and motorcycles, owning several nice cars throughout the years. He enjoyed scuba diving and traveling; he traveled the entire country with his wife, Marilyn and their four sons, Robbie, Mike, Steven and David. He and his wife even traveled to many places around the world. Robert was passionate about the outdoors, he loved to go hunting in Maine every year and later in life enjoyed many fishing tournaments with his son, David. He was also a dedicated EAGLES fan and had been a season ticket holder for decades.
He is survived by; his son, David W. Walukiewicz (Traci); five grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Tyler, Gavin and Zachary; a great granddaughter, Isla; a sister, Bernice Franklin; daughters-in-law, Denise Walukiewicz and Mary Leigh Walukiewicz; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by; his wife of 69 years, Marilyn Walukiewicz; three sons, Robbie Walukiewicz, Michael Walukiewicz and Steven Walukiewicz; and a daughter-in-law, Beverly Walukiewicz.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 21st at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the service. During the service there will be time for all to share, the family encourages those attending to share a memory.
