Mango, Daniel D.
GREENFIELD CENTER - Daniel D. Mango, 86, of Greenfield Center, beloved husband of the late Mary M. Mango, passed away at home on Monday, July 29, 2024.
Born in Schenectady, N.Y., he was the son of the late Dominick and Ella Potter Mango and was educated in the Shenendehowa Central Schools.
Mr. Mango retired in 1995, after 38 years of dedicated service at Grand Union in Waterford, where he was Produce Inspector.
Dan loved his family, cigars, fishing and horse racing.
Devoted father of Lora (William) Green, Chris (Marie) Mango and Joseph Mango; longtime companion of Deloris Sheehan (her daughter, Joyce); brother of Gail Cressey and the late Mary Bruno and Rosemarie Perone; cherished grandfather of Zarina Mango, Ruslan Mango, Danielle (Jason) Bull and Despina Parthemos; adored great-grandfather of Lily Barton; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements with private burial in Memory's Garden, Colonie, will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to add, "We find solace in him being reunited with his loving wife after so many years."
Thos desiring, may make memorial contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Capital District Chapter, 421 New Karner Rd., Albany, N.Y. 12205, in memory of Daniel Mango.
