Daniel Louis Marcantuono of Lakewood, NJ beloved husband of 61 years of Joanne Theresa

Marcantuono (nee Molinaro) passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 at the age of 84.

Born in Newark, NJ, he is survived by his loving wife Joanne, his brother John, three children

and seven grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Daniel Sr. and Libby

Marcantuono (nee Franciscone.)

He was the proud father of his three children and dearly loved his seven grandchildren.

David, his wife, Julie, of Beaverton, OR and their three children, Daniel, Isabelle and Sophia.

Lisa (Kane) and her husband, Pat, of Little Silver, NJ and their two sons, Brendan and Colin.

Cheryl (Shea) and her husband, Ian, of Frisco, TX and their two sons, Jack and Quinn.

Granddogs, Candy, Buddy and Scout.

Dan graduated from Barringer High School in 1959. He was a member of the Boy Scouts and

earned the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout during his High School years. He graduated from

Seton Hall University in 1963 with a BS Degree in Business Administration. Dan earned a

Master's Degree in Hospital Administration from George Washington University and went on to

be a hospital CEO for 55 years. Caring for others, fostering professional dedication of his sta

and navigating the changing landscape of the healthcare system, was his passion. He was very

proud of all that he accomplished serving the three di erent hospitals that he helmed over the

years.

Dan was an avid chess player, gardener, food lover, wine maker and a diehard NY Giants

football fan. He enjoyed listening to music, with his favorite being Pavarotti. Living near the

ocean, you could often find him fishing and watching the boats go by. He enjoyed reminiscing

with his storytelling. His Italian heritage brought him much pride and joy, evidenced by his

many delicious recipes, and his favorite saying "you can never have enough garlic!"

Dan and Joanne were a part of the Catholic ministry at Harrogate Retirement Community

where they lived. His life revolved around Family and Faith.

Dan and Joanne met at a social in their neighborhood catholic parish and it was love at first

sight. He was a true friend, a principled professional, a family man, and the love of Joanne's

life! He was extremely generous, and had a smile for everyone that he met!
