Daniel Francis Martine Jr.

Daniel F Martine, Jr., age 84, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025 in Dublin, Ohio. He was born on July 19, 1941 in Hornell, New York.
He spent most of his life in Ashland, Ohio where he built a respected career as a realtor selling residential and commercial real estate. He worked for many years at Ward Real Estate and was an active member of the Ashland County Board of Realtors and received many awards in his career. Beyond his professional success, he was a real estate investor with his wife, Mary Ellen and they took great pride and care in the rental properties they owned. Together, they created a charitable trust upon their retirement, which they donated to the Ashland County Community Foundation, reflecting their shared belief in giving back to the community that had given them so much.
Outside of work, and next to his family, his greatest passion was boating. Over the years he owned many boats and earned his Captain's license- he was adventurous and had a love for water. He and Mary Ellen traveled all over and had many memories with all types of boats on Lake Erie and the Great Lakes, Canada, Charles Mill and Florida.
He will be remembered for his love for his family and friends. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 62 years, Mary Ellen Martine; daughter, Michelle (Brad) Fry, son, Thomas (Diane) Martine; grandchildren Jayson (Katie) Schultz, Mary Schultz, Nathaniel (Cass) Schultz, Daniel Martine, Stephen Martine; great grandchildren, Addi and Grayson Fairclough, Xavier and Liam Schultz, Charlotte, Abigail and Lilly Schultz and Ava Zabor; his sister Janice Beck and many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary Jane Martine, and his sister Linda Duve.
