Daniel Stevenson McAllister

December 18, 1948 – March 1, 2026

Daniel (Danny), age 77 of Titusville, Florida, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 1, 2026. Danny was born December 18, 1948 to the Rev. D. V. and Mary McAllister.

Danny graduated from Titusville High School in 1966. Following high school, Danny attended Florida Technological University (UCF) graduating with a Bachelor of History degree.

After graduation, Danny joined the Marine Reserves. Deciding a career in the Marines wasn't his cup of tea Danny left when his enlistment was over.

Remember though, Danny graduated from the Marine Boot camp at Paris Island. A feat in and of itself.

By 1974 Danny was working as a Child Care Worker (read that as Prison Guard) at the Juvenile Detention Center in Titusville where he met Thelma Rannells, a fellow guard who would go on to become the love of his life.

Danny left the Detention Center and started working as a fruit and vegetable inspector becoming a sort of migrant farm worker.

Thelma joined Danny in his travels and they were married in July 1978 in North Carolina. Then ended their travelling in December 1983 and returned to Florida.

Over the next couple of decades Danny tried several roles but none fit till he got his paralegal certificate and went to work as a Law Clerk for the Brevard County Sheriff. He finally found what he wanted. He loved this work and retired from the BCSO in 2016.

In September 2010 his love passed away. This was hard on Danny but he moved on.

Danny was loved by his family and friends. He will be missed and in the hearts of those he touched forever. He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years Thelma, his parents Revered D.V. and Mary McAllister, grandparents (Charles and Bertha Burnett) and (Foster and Lucille Hardy), his sister and brother-in-law Carolyn and Bill Hoskinson, and his brother Mark McAllister and daughter Phyllis Morisette.

He is survived by sister Donna Magin and her husband Jerry, sister Shawna McKay, sister-in-law Janice McAllister, his daughter Charlotte Nooney, son Bill Black, son Greg Black and many grandkids, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at LifePointe Ministries (Located in Civic Center), 4220 S. Hopkins, Titusville, Florida 32780.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be sent to LifePointe Ministries.
