Daniel McGuire Obituary
Died: July 26, 2023 in New Lenox, IL
Daniel McGuire, age 69, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at his home in New Lenox.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife Susan (nee Smego) McGuire; children, Erin (Eli Cadenhead) McGuire, and Patrick (Cindy) McGuire; sister Karen McGuire; grandson, Connor; brother-in-law, Alan Arnstrom; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Margaret (nee Boyce) McGuire; and his sister Kathleen Arnstrom. He will be remembered for being extremely talented when it came to working with his hands. He could do carpentry, and more refined woodworking, and loved doing DIY projects. In his spare time he enjoyed playing baseball, racket ball, riding his bike on the trail and flying his model airplanes. He also enjoyed spending time on the lake with his son fishing and boating. He was also a devoted Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan. He was a kind man and will be missed by all that knew him.
Services for Daniel will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 with a visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. in New Lenox, from 9am-11:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Mokena at 12pm on that same day. Daniel will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers a donation to a charity of your choice, or a memorial tree planted in Daniels name.
