Mr. Minton was born on October 2, 1956 in Surry County to the late Glen Minton and Virginia Sloop Minton. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard and also worked for over 35 years with the Town of Elkin Public Works.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Carol Minton of the home; a son Logan (Stephanie) Minton of State Road; a daughter Morgan (Caleb) Harris of State Road; a brother Dennis (Pam) Minton of Elkin; and three grandchildren Amelia Harris, Caroline Minton, and Juliette Harris.
A funeral service for Mr. Minton will be held on Friday April 4, 2025 at 1pm at Little Pine Covenant Brethren Church in Ennice with Eddie Wooten and Jerry Childress officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday April 3, 2025 from 6pm-8pm at Johnson Funeral Home of Elkin.
