Daniel E Morera

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Morera, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Daniel was born on September 4, 1963, in Cartago, Costa Rica, and peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on January 8, 2026.

Daniel dedicated his life to his family and to serving others through his faith and his work. He was a skilled craftsman and carpenter who took great pride in his trade. As a business owner, he built not only structures, but lasting relationships through his honesty, hard work, and attention to detail. His hands created with purpose, and his work reflected the care and dedication he brought to all aspects of his life.

Daniel found joy in traveling, craftsmanship, serving his community, and spending meaningful time with those he loved most.

He was the beloved husband of Nergivia Martinez, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage filled with love and devotion. He was a devoted and loving father to Karina Piazza, Carlos Morera, Emmanuel Morera, and Daniela Afanador.

His joy was multiplied through his grandchildren: Robert,Leana,Vivian,Jacob,Aiden,Julian,Lorely,Nicholas, Wesley, Katie,Nathan, Marco, and Ashton, Who were a constant source of pride and happiness in his life. He was also survived by his Mother Nelly Barquero and father Daniel Morera and siblings.

Daniel's legacy of faith, love, service, and craftsmanship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Es con el corazón pesado que anunciamos el fallecimiento de Daniel Morera, un querido esposo, padre, abuelo, hijo, hermano, tío y amigo. Daniel nació el 4 de septiembre de 1963 en Cartago, Costa Rica, y entró pacíficamente por las puertas del Cielo el 8 de enero de 2026.

Daniel dedicó su vida a su familia y a servir a los demás a través de su fe y su trabajo. Era un hábil artesano y carpintero que estaba muy orgulloso de su oficio. Como propietario de un negocio, construyó no solo estructuras, sino también relaciones duraderas a través de su honestidad, trabajo duro y atención al detalle. Sus manos crearon con propósito, y su trabajo reflejaba el cuidado y la dedicación que aportó a todos los aspectos de su vida.

Daniel encontró alegría en viajar, la artesanía, servir a su comunidad y pasar un tiempo significativo con aquellos que más amaba.

También le sobrevivieron su madre Nelly Barquero y su padre Daniel Morera y sus hermanos.

El legado de fe, amor, servicio y artesanía de Daniel vivirá en los corazones de todos los que lo conocieron. Se le echará mucho de menos y se le recordará para siempre.
