Yadkinville – Daniel Thompson “Tom” Moxley, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was born September 11, 1938 in Yadkin County to the late Kim Thompson Moxley and Dorothy Brown Moxley.

Tom was an extraordinary man with an extraordinary personality. If you ever met Tom, you knew he was something special. His stories about his travels and adventures could keep you enthralled for hours and leave you wanting more. Heaven may have to issue Tom two sets of wings, one for him and another for his personality!

Kim and Dorothy did their job well since this man with a 10th grade education built a very successful business, Southeastern Silo Company of Virginia, using a savvy business mind and the gift of gab. In the same line of his main man, President Donald Trump, Tom’s hat should have read, “I have already made America great!”. There will be a huge hole left here on earth with his passing, but Heaven got fuller!

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Angel Moxley; granddaughter, Danielle Elizabeth Moxley; brother, Ronnie Moxley; sister, Sue Casstevens; sister-in-law, Janice Crissman Moxley; brother-in-law, Byron Campbell. He is survived by his son, David T. (Mary) Moxley; his granddaughter, Carly Cecelia Moxley; brother, Bobby D. Moxley; sisters, Grace Ann Campbell; Frances (Ken) Mabe; Janice (Herman) Brown; sister-in-law, Frankie Moxley; brother-in-law, Ricky Casstevens; a special friend Sylvia Gray; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, June 22, 2024 at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Phillip Link. Burial will follow at North Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm Saturday at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Elms at 7449 Fair Oaks Drive, Clemmons, NC, 27012 and North Oak Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund at 2504 North Oak Ridge Ch Rd, Boonville, NC, United States, North Carolina.
