Daniel M. Murin, 53, of Ellwood City, PA, formerly of West Pittsburg, passed away at home on Sunday, May 25, 2025 following a courageous, prolonged battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Born April 14, 1972 in Clinton, PA, he was the son of Robert L. Sr. and Mary A. (Work) Murin of New Castle.
Dan was a lifelong Auto Technician, where he was previously employed at EJ Williams, Route 168 Auto Service, and Meiters LLC. An avid outdoorsman, Dan enjoyed hunting deer, fishing, working on construction projects for family and friends, and spending time with his granddaughter.
Dan loved to take apart and rebuild cars in his spare time, especially his daughter’s vehicles. Dan loved to spend time at his parent’s camp, where he would go quad riding, tubing, and boating with family and friends. Dan loved to laugh and enjoy life to the fullest. He spent much of his time helping others, no matter the circumstances.
In addition to his Mother and Father, survivors include daughters, Kayla (Michael) Butchelli and Ashley Murin of Ellwood City; best friend and companion, Willie the Beagle; sisters Mary (Kenny Johnson) Murin and Bobbi (Bob) Baxter of New Castle; twin brother, Dale (Karie) Murin of Wampum; granddaughter Ginny R. Butchelli at home; 4 nephews, 2 nieces, 1 great-niece, and 3 great-nephews; friend and former wife, Lisa L. Chambers of Ellwood City; friend Gina Pennachio and her son R.J. Peterson.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert L. Murin Jr. and niece Nicole Marlow.
His family would like to thank his hospice nurses and caregivers during his end of life. Per Dan’s request, there will be no calling hours. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Marshall Funeral Home, Ellwood City.
