Daniel Nicholson, age 40, of Portland, Tennessee, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
He was born on August 17, 1983, in Merced, California. He attended Atwater High School and was in the graduating Class of 2001. Just after high school, Daniel enlisted in the United States Military. He served in the air force for 6 years as a security forces specialist. Daniel had been stationed in Afghanistan and several European countries. In between deployments, Daniel and his family moved to Tennessee. Following his military career, Daniel attained his associate degree in robotics and automation, from Bowling Green Technical College. Most recently he was working as an application development analyst, with Accenture LLP. Previously Daniel worked as a journeyman electrician with Travis Electic.
Daniel liked to build computers and would cook in his leisure time. He experimented with adobo cooking techniques and also explored his Filipino heritage.
Daniel was a hardworking man and was very devoted to his family, especially to his grandparents. He was always putting them first and lending a helping hand. His memory will be cherished and he will be dearly missed.
Daniel Alan Nicholson ll is survived by his grandmother, Patricia Nicholson; father, Daniel Nicholson Sr.; step-mother, Lucia Nicholson; mother, Lillian Torrefranea; brothers, Matthew Nicholson, Randy Machado; niece, Celeste Machado; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David Nicholson; maternal grandmother, Emy Hill, and his canine fur baby, Toby.
Visitation will take place at Crestview Funeral Home, on Wednesday, March 27, from 3:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M..
Pastor Tim Coker will be officiating the committal service in honor of Daniel Nicholson, on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 3:30 P.M., in Crestview Memory Gardens.
