Daniel J. O'Keefe, Jr. age 93 years, of Plymouth, died peacefully Friday, January 9, 2026, at Wingate at Silverlake in Kingston surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Janis M. (Tibbetts) and the son of the late Danel J. and Mary (Souza) O'Keefe. Born on September 9, 1932 in Concord, Massachusetts, he was a graduate of Plymouth High School. He worked as a grocery manager at First National, Angelo's and Hannaford's Supermarkets. An avid bowler in his younger years, Daniel enjoyed collecting coins, post cards, baseball cards and years of antiquing with his wife. He was a life-long faithful communicant of St. Mary's Church in North Plymouth.
Besides his wife Janis, he is survived by his daughter Deborah Cristofori and her husband Kenneth of Plymouth, a brother Richard O'Keefe of Plymouth, and a sister Cynthia O'Keefe. He leaves two grandsons who were the light of his life, Nicholas Cristofori and his wife Tiffanie of Auburn, NH and Nathan Cristofori of Plympton, and his great grandchildren Anna and Alex. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nursing staff at Wingate at Silverlake, especially Colleen, Rachel and Shauna. As well as Kelley and the support staff from West River Hospice who treated our loved one with compassion and dignity during the difficult times
Because of the longtime devotion of the O'Keefe family to the Holy Ghost Society, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holy Ghost Society, PO Box 6351, Plymouth, MA 02360
At the request of the family, services will be private
