Daniel Olivas

1964 - 2025

Daniel Olivas, 61, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 4, 2025. He was born April 26, 1964 in Artesia, New Mexico. He lived in Big Spring most of his adult life. He was a bright light to a room and loved to make people smile. Family to him was everything.
He is survived by his Eternal Companion Karla Olivas. His children, Richard Olivas, Josh Olivas, Joe Olivas, Jay & Shannah Olivas, Bree Cervantez, Andi and Doug Klinger, Brett Cervantez, Kris and Adela Cervantez, Jorden Cervantez and partner Cristian Garrett. His Grandchildren Eric, Kaleb, Kason, Cooper, Ivy, Rowan, Ethan, Elijah, Zendaya, Dorian and his partner in crime Wyatt. Great grandson Zayden. Sisters Alma & Daniel, Gloria and Lenza "Lefty" and Carmen Mendoza. Brother Jose "PeeWee" & Cheryl. His in laws Bruce and Vernie Jaeger, Justin Jaeger, Crystal and Robert Wilcox and Kathreyn and Tory Porris. So many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his parents Humberto and Juana Olivas, Brother Felix Olivas, grand children Jayden Olivas and Gabriel Cervantez, and several Aunts and Uncles.
He was a master of all trades. He worked in the oil field before he got sick and lost his leg. He didn't let that stop him. He loved to fish, and spend time with his family and friends. In 2015 he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved our Lord and Savior with all his heart. He loved his church family just as much as his own family.
A special thanks to the Travis, Christina, Bennett, Ariel, Ron, Tami, Lane, Alysha, Justin and Sara. You all loved him like he was your family and he loved all of you. Thank you for everything you did for him.
