As a son of a war widow he was raised by his mother and extended family. He attended Springfield Technical High School, where he was a member of several bands, playing french horn and bass. There he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Priscilla Choux.
Upon graduation he embarked on a career in the financial industry. That career involved multiple organizations in multiple states along the East Coast from Maine to Florida. Along with his financial career, he served his community in several capacities, to include Rotary International, Junior Achievement, volunteer firefighter, and EMT, local school board and parent advisory board.
He felt some of his greatest achievements were serving as the Patriot Honor Guard Asst. District Captain and Coordinator for Wreaths Across America at the Black Mountain State Veterans Cemetery. He was one of the first chaperones for Blue Ridge Honor Air Flights and organized the Welcome Homes for those flights out of Asheville, North Carolina. He was also a volunteer at Hendersonville's Love's Kitchen for many years.
As a loving husband and devoted father, he passed away surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Priscilla, their daughter Rebecca, her husband William and two grandsons, Daniel and Johnathan.
Throughout his life he showed by example it was an honor to serve the veterans and people of the community he lived in. His love for his family and others, his humor, and his contributions to the community will be greatly missed.
There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:30 PM, in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home located on 538 Tracy Grove Road,
