Daniel G. Parenteau

Mr. Daniel G. Parenteau, 60, of Biddeford passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18th, 2024.
Daniel was born on April 24th, 1963 in Biddeford, Maine to Mr. Normand Parenteau and Mrs. Martha Inkel Nadeau.
Daniel was a 1981 graduate of Biddeford High School and strived to be a lifelong learner, earning multiple and varied degrees and credentials into adulthood.
Daniel worked as a Program Manager for Fedcap. Previously, he had an over 20 year career in telecommunications that took him up and down the eastern seaboard, and to the country of Singapore where he helped develop their first cable television infrastructure as well as a training facility and curriculum on the island.
Daniel took great pride in being from the city of Biddeford, Maine, and he wrote multiple blogs and op-eds on various subjects in his spare time, including Franco-American cuisine and others. Daniel had a love for formal and informal education, reading and writing, and had a particular interest in the genres of memoir, fantasy, and science fiction. Daniel was a lifelong film critic and enjoyed going out to the movies with the people he loved. Daniel had a quick-witted sense of humor and would readily call back inside jokes he shared with friends and family.
Daniel is survived by his children Nathan Parenteau, Maya Broad, and Bailey Parenteau; mother Martha Nadeau; and sister Denise Tupper. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins both in Maine and other states. Daniel had a few lifelong friends that he would also consider family.
Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Normand Parenteau; sister, Diane Tracy; son, Noah Parenteau; and grandson, Gavyn Broad.
Visiting Hours will be 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. on Sunday, March 24th, 2024 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm Street, Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25th, 2024 at St. Joseph's Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Biddeford.
