Mr. Daniel “Danny” Lee Parker, age 72, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday night, May 7, 2024, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center with his loving family surrounding him.  Mr. Parker was born March 20, 1952, to the late Robert Franklin Parker and Kathleen Slate Parker.  He was a man of many traits and there wasn’t much that he couldn’t do.  He owned/operated The Vanishing Point in Mount Airy, for over 20 years, making many friends and memories along the way.  He will be deeply missed by the many blessed to have known him.  Danny, as many knew him, is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Danielle Shinault and Andrew of Mount Airy, Melanie Lewis and Steve of Oxford, Mississippi, Renee Wright and Chris of Marietta, Georgia; his adored grandchildren, Rylee Parker, Maverick Parker, and Slate Parker, Dakota Lewis and Ella Lewis, Gabriel Wright and Raygan Wright; too many friends to mention.  In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by a daughter, Yvonne Parker.   The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 12:30 until 1:30 PM.  A graveside service will be held following the visitation at Skyline Memory Gardens at 2 PM.  Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis TN, 38109.  Moody’s of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Parker family.
