Daniel (Danny) P. Peddle 57, of Deerfield formerly of Lake Forest, died Monday June 30, 2025 at home.
Known for his hardworking nature, quick humor, and big heart, Danny spent most of his life in construction-creating spaces for others and lending his talents wherever they were needed.
His career included work on several well-known television shows, including Chicago Fire, The Bear, Shameless, and many more. Whether building sets or helping tell stories behind the scenes, Danny's craftsmanship and steady presence left a mark on every project he touched.
But his proudest work was often closer to home-remodeling and building for family, always ready to lend a hand, share his tools, and pitch in with a smile. He was a guy you could count on, and the kind of person who made life easier just by showing up.
Danny is survived by his two loyal Labradors, Bud and Bo; his loving sisters Barbara Alix (Kevin) of New Hampshire, Patti Walker of Lake Villa, Mary Michal (Dean) of Gurnee, and Pamela Smith (Bill) of Mundelein; and many nieces and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Peddle and his brother Billy.
A celebration of Danny's life will be at Mickey Finn's, 345 North Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville Illinois on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at 12:00-4:00 with an opportunity to share you favorite "Danny" memory at 1:00 pm. In the meantime, his family asks that you honor his memory by doing what Danny did best-helping others, building something useful, and being there when it mattered most.
In lieu of flowers, Danny would love for you to make a donation to MLRR, (Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue P.O. Box 1473 Lombard, Illinois 60148-8473, MLRR.org) a cause close to his, Bud & Bo's hearts. Helping others was simply who he was-and your support would mean the world.
