Daniel G. Plata Sr.

Daniel G. Plata Sr. entered eternal rest on April 15, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born on April 20, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to Jesus and Antonia (Gamboa) Plata.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Becky Garcia and Beatrice Plata; sons, Daniel, Jr. and Jesse. Daniel is survived by his wife loving wife, Hilda (Garcia) Plata; sons; Gabriel (Cynthia) and Sam; brother, Joe (Ruby) Plata; grandchildren, Samantha, Jalyn, Samuel, Jesse, Mark, Andrew, Daniel and Roland; great-granddaughter, Daniella; numerous other loving family members and friends.
He was a proud Vietnam veteran who served his country with honor and courage. He loved the simple joys of life-fishing, traveling with his beloved wife, and spending time with his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy. His deep involvement in their lives was a testament to his loving and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. A funeral procession will depart at 9:30 A.M. on Monday, April 28, 2025 for a mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
