He is also survived by his siblings, Lucinda Pope, Tim Pope, and Jonathan Pope.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Phyllis and Donald Pope, and his siblings, Steven Pope and Wendy Pope.

Daniel graduated from Geneva High School in 1974 and went on to attend Emmaus Bible School and Brian College, graduating in 1980. He was self-employed throughout much of his life, working in photography and graphic arts, and was also a gifted author. His greatest achievements included the publication of his two books, Warbonnets and Dream Arlington, the latter also standing out as a career highlight and a reflection of his deep love for local history and community.

Dan was an active and dedicated member of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, serving as an ambassador, as well as Men Serving God, and he faithfully served as a Landmark Commissioner. Above all, he was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ and a faithful member of Lake Church in Arlington.

His hobbies included photography, history, and traveling to national parks, with a special love for the Grand Canyon, where he found inspiration in God’s creation and the beauty of the natural world. In both life and death, Daniel gave generously, including through organ donation, leaving a legacy of compassion and service.

Daniel Thomas Pope will be remembered for his unwavering faith, infectious joy, creative spirit, adventurous heart, and deep love for his family, church, and community. His life had a lasting impact on all who were blessed to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations to help cover unexpected expenses as they navigate this difficult time.
