Daniel Rainey, 73, of Waltham, passed away leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Born on October 19, 1952, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Willie J. Rainey and Mozell Rainey (Johnson).

Daniel was known for his great sense of humor and his ability to light up any room he entered. He loved to cook, took pride in being a sharp dresser, and truly enjoyed dancing. His joyful spirit was infectious, and time spent with him was always filled with laughter and fun.

As a father, Daniel shared a special bond with his children. They had countless good times together and loved their dad deeply. He was also his sister's favorite and very special brother, and her children cherished him for the laughter and joy he brought into their lives.

Predeceased by his beloved parents and his brother, Robert.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne Larkins-Rainey; his children, Faniel, Daniel, Shellyce, and Shamar; and his beloved grandchildren, NA'Riaya, Damari, Yaneshia, and Sevyn & he is also survived by his sister, Sandra. He will fondly be remembered by his nieces, Jacquelyn and Cheryl; his nephew, Donald; his grand nieces, Shakiera and Kemaura; and his great niece, Aalaiya, along with numerous other relatives and dear friends who were blessed to know him.

Daniel will be remembered for his humor, his style, his love of life, and most of all, the love he gave so freely to his family and others.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather and remember the love and friendship Daniel shared during visiting hours on Wednesday, January 07, 2026, from 11AM- 12PM in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody Street Waltham. Parking attendants will be on duty.

A Celebration of Daniel's life will be held at 12pm. Interment will be held privately for the family at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, flowers are welcome.
