With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Daniel Rivera, who made his way to heaven on October 16th, 2025 at the age of 45.

Daniel was born on May 2nd, 1980 in Bronx, NY. He was raised and grew up in Camden, NJ. He was lovingly known as Danny to his family and humorously as Coco to his friends.

Those that knew Danny loved him for his humor, his intelligence, and his warmth. He was also known for his love of video games, being by the water, fishing with his family, and the Lakers. His kids will forever hold the vision of him doing his shimmy dance when he got excited. If you were lucky enough, you got to taste his amazing food, especially Coco's rice.

If you finish reading this with one fact in mind let it be that Danny's love for his family never wavered. He is now reunited with his beloved granddaughter, Peyton Dow. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Leslie Rivera, and his loving children: Ashley Rivera Dow and her husband David Dow, Daniel Rivera Jr and his fiancé Tayva Mayner, Aniyah Rivera and her partner Davidson Fleurimar, and Angelise Rivera. He was a proud grandfather to a growing army of girls: London Mayner, A'Marie Fleurimar and two more girls that are on their way.

He is also survived by his parents, Milton and Mariluz Rivera; his siblings Milton Rivera Jr, Rafael Rivera, and Christine Rivera; and many sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Danny's life reminds us that every person's story is made up of both struggle and beauty - and that love always outlasts pain. His family finds peace knowing that in heaven he is free and the best version of himself again.
