Daniel Rome Obituary
Dan was born on October 12, 1948, in Colby. He grew up in western Kansas, where he attended Winona High School, laying the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and dedication. After graduation, he made his way to Topeka where he was the friendly face that greeted customers at Jack's Paint Store. Later, Dan served the Topeka High School community where he worked until his retirement.
He is survived by his sister, Glennis Desbien, who will remember him as not just a brother but a true friend; His niece, Chanda Prater, her husband Ben, along with their son Nicholas, Dan's great-nephew; and his "granddaughter", Jessi Whitehead.
Best known for his giving spirit and generosity, Dan's kindness extended to anyone who needed help. And his family would like to thank all who returned his kindness.
The Rite of Committal will be held at a later date for family and friends.
