Daniel Robert Ronan, aged 51, died suddenly and went home to the Lord on December 30, 2025. Danny was the son of Nancy Wheaton-Ronan and the late Edward Ronan.
In addition to his mother, Dan is survived by his siblings Sean (Debra), Katy (Joseph) Vecellio, and Joseph (Tammy) Ronan. He leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Joseph Paul Ronan II, Rue Moore, Irene Ronan, Joseph and Matteo (Sarah) Vecellio, Patty Vecellio and her partner Gabe Rojas; also Molly (Roger) Clapp, Lexi, Shelby, and Shane Ronan and a great-nephew Howie Clapp.
Danny was a proud union Iron Worker, Local 424, for 30 years. He had a talent for stealing brownies before dinner, even when they were hidden away. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
On Monday, January 12, 2026, visitation will be held at the West Haven Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m. A parlor service will take place on Tuesday, January 13 at 10 o'clock. Interment, of cremains, will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Donations can be made to the West Haven Animal Shelter in honor of his beloved dog Mick.
