Daniel Anthony Rouge (59) of Conneaut, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on July 28th. Daniel was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 20th, 1966. He is survived by his son, Colton Rouge (Kelci); his sisters, Laura McCombs (Shawn) and Alice Sabo (Bob); his nieces Tory (Logan), Megan (Rob), Kristy (Chris), Leah, Lindsay, and Josie; and his Grandchildren, Giovanni Green, Layla "Jayne" Auxier, and Anna O'Sullivan which Dan took special pride in being called "Papa Whoop-J". Dan achieved many accomplishments throughout his life- a graduate of Conneaut High School, Dan continued to create a beautiful life for himself; Dan was a long-term employee for over 25 years at Matrix Tools Inc. in Fairview, Pennsylvania. Beginning his career with Matrix Tools, Dan started as a mold repair and changeover specialist and quickly moved on to support the scheduling of the Mold Repair/Changeover specialists- while also gaining his journeyman and tradesman certificate. Colleagues state that Dan was a friend to many at Matrix Tools and contributed significantly to the business and his fellow colleagues. He would regularly go out of his way to assist his fellow co-workers and was always smiling, laughing, and positive. He will be deeply missed by the entire team at Matrix Tools Inc and his dedication will never be forgotten. Dan was an inventor and adventurer. Whether it be building a tree house, working on vehicles, creating a camping mechanism for his truck, he would think of a plan to make something beautiful and bring it to life. Dan loved the outdoors and nature. Most recently, he did a cross-country road-trip visiting Oklahoma, Nex Mexico, and Colorado. He loved hiking, camping, and being on the water and had dreams of owning a sailboat one day. Some of his favorite activities were spending time with his son Colton and his grandson Giovanni (Gio) whether it be sledding, riding 4-wheelers, amusement parks or just having special talks and building things together. Dan was full of life, charismatic in a gentle way, and had such a unique sense of humor. You couldn't help but love him after speaking with him for just a few minutes. He would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need and was a light to everyone that knew him. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Rouge; his brother, David Rouge; and his "step" daughter, Mackenzie Green. Dan will be sorely missed by all those that knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 4-7pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio 44041 (440) 361-2273. In place of flowers, contributions can be made to the family c/o Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services. All donations will be used to create a memorial fund in Dan's memory. www.LakeErieCrematory.com

Love you like a brother. I always enjoyed our conversations, especially the ones about food and recipes . Sometimes you were my recipe guinea pig! And I will miss you terribly.

Love you, Robin Zimmer
