Daniel Joseph Salvetti, lovingly known as “Danny,” age 58, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away on November 30th, 2025, in Ocean Springs.
Danny was born on November 4th, 1967, in Syracuse, New York, to Bernard Francis Salvetti and Alice Cornelius (Smith) Salvetti. He graduated from West Genesee High School in 1985. Danny spent his early years in upstate New York before making Ocean Springs his longtime home, where he became a cherished member of the community. Danny had a true passion for cooking and fishing. Whether preparing a delicious meal or casting a line along the coast, these hobbies brought him great pleasure and allowed him to share many memorable moments with family and friends. His greatest pride and joy were his loving children and his loyal German Shepherd, Diesel, with whom he created countless treasured memories.
Danny was the proud owner of Salvetti’s Italian Grill for ten years, where his passion for the restaurant business truly shined. He took great joy in welcoming guest with a warm smile and sharing his love for authentic Italian cuisine with the community he cherished. His dedication to quality, hospitality, and bringing people together over food will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of dining at his table.
Danny is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Cornelius (Smith) Salvetti, and his brothers, Patrick Bernard Salvetti and Mark Stephen Salvetti, and his cousin, Carrie (Kakee) Salvetti.
He is survived by his father, Bernard Francis Salvetti; his brother, Michael Salvetti and wife Kelley; his sister, Mary Ellen Del Prato; his cousin, Colleen Monroe; his former wife, Carole Salvetti and son, Jeffrey Salvetti; former wife Shaleigh Salvetti, and children, Kylie Salvetti, Collin Salvetti, and Marcel Salvetti; along with many other aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter in honor of Danny’s lifelong love for animals.
May Danny’s laughter and generous spirit continue to inspire those who knew him, and may he rest in eternal peace.
