Lt. Col., Daniel B. Satterley, CRNA, Retired, 87, of Freeburg, IL, born Sunday, December 15, 1935 in Patchogue, NY and passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Mascoutah, IL.
Dan faithfully served his country and retired after 25 years from the United States Air Force as a CRNA in the surgical theatre in Vietnam. He was a member of the St. Jacob Lions Club and Capt. Edgar Dale American Legion Post 81, Eldorado, IL. Dan never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with his friends and acquaintances. He enjoyed playing bingo and supporting the Lions summer camp program for vision and hearing impaired children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel B. and Edna Mae (nee Rate) Satterley; and his sisters, Edna Warner, Hattie Staudt and Jean Farrands.
Surviving are his long time friend, Wayne "Butch" Klopmeyer; his sister, Caroline Farrands of Fulton, NY, and many dear friends and family.
Memorials may be made to St. Jacob Lions, PO Box 212, St. Jacob, IL, 62281 in Memory of Dan, to be used for summer camp program. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.Richesonfh.com
Graveside services will be held at the Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, IL.
