Daniel G. Schamber

Daniel G. Schamber, of Milford, MI passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was 91 years old.
Dan was, born on February 25, 1934, in Hamilton, Ohio, and he lived a life full of adventure, dedication, and love. A proud Marine and Korean War veteran, Dan exemplified discipline and commitment in all aspects of his life. He married the love of his life, Lorene, on August 6, 1960, and together they built a life rooted in family and shared experiences. After dedicating 34 years to Western Electric, he embraced retirement with enthusiasm, hitting the road in an RV alongside Lorene, exploring the beauty of the western United States for three decades.
Known affectionately as "Lucky" in his childhood for his unmatched sharpshooting skills in marbles, Dan carried that precision and determination throughout his life. Whether enjoying a fresh bear claw with a hot cup of coffee or setting off on another journey, he found joy in the simple pleasures. His warmth, adventurous spirit, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Lorene; his daughters, Deborah Schamber, and Cindy Cadaret; his son, Michael (Karin) Schamber; his grandchildren, Ashley and Nikolas Cadaret as well as extended family members and dear friends.
Committal prayers and Military Honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 2:00PM. For those attending the committal service please arrive at the cemetery around 1:45 PM.
