Daniel Richard Schwamm, 69, of Blissfield, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian, Michigan. Dan was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 20, 1955, to Carl and Kathryn Schwamm. Dan was a graduate of Blissfield High School and ITT of Ohio for HVAC. Dan was a jack of all trades. Dan was an active member of Solid Rock Church in Blissfield and participated in many of their activities. Dan could often be seen scooting around town on his battery powered wheelchair visiting friends and making new friends along the way. He loved going to local car and truck shows and talking "car talk" with the exhibitors. Dan was also a classic rock encyclopedia. He could name every song just by hearing the opening chords. He would also name a classic rock song that perfectly described any situation someone found themselves in. Dan was a sincere friend to all. He would give his last dime to someone in need and often did. Dan is survived by his wife Charlotte of Blissfield, his daughter, Debra (Anthony Guinn, special friend), of Adrian, step-daughter Brandy (David) Morehead of Jackson, step-son Robert (Kathryn) Fowler of Jackson, siblings Debbie (Keith) Fischer of Blissfield, Mark (Diann) Schwamm of Blissfield, Tim Schwamm of Palmyra, Teri (Rodney) Lippens of Blissfield, step-grandchildren Keara, Blake, Brynn, Bronnack and Bradon. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Kathyrn Schwamm and sister, Gay Goodfriend Sayler. Funeral services for Dan will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Blissfield with Pastor Rick Hogan officiating. Visitation will also be at St. Paul's Friday evening February 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday morning at 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee. Arrangements entrusted to Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
