Daniel Scioscio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels & Cremation Services on Dec. 2, 2023.
Daniel R. Scioscio, 66, of Enfield, beloved husband of Karen (Belanger) Scioscio, made his final cast, and passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 30, 2023. He was born in Hartford on June 27, 1957, the son of the late Laurence Scioscio, Sr. and Teresa (Pouech) Scioscio. He lived his whole life in Enfield.
Danny could fix anything and would drop everything to help his family and friends. His self-taught handyman craft led him to a career in hotel maintenance and a lifetime of fixing up the homes of anyone he loved.
Danny was often found spending time outdoors. His favorite place to be was Hammonasset Beach, Karen and Danny's "happy place". He loved fishing, hunting, camping, traveling, golfing, and gardening. Danny was a die-hard Yankees and Giants fan, and spent many hours in his favorite chair rooting on his teams. Above all, family time brought him the most joy.
Danny and his family were members of Holy Family Church. He and his brothers were also members of the Holy Family Golf League founded by his father.
In addition to Karen, the love of his life, Daniel is survived by his son, Chris Scioscio and his wife Rhiannon of Rocky Hill and his daughter, Jennifer Ruggiero and her husband Steve of Enfield. He was a loving Pepere to Gavin, Monroe, Grayson and Carly. It brought him so much pride and joy to watch them grow.
He is survived by his brother Michael Scioscio, his sisters Donna Plecity and Linda Hensel, sister-in-law Lori Douthwright and her husband Dan, his best bud. He leaves behind his mother-in-law Betty Cormier and many adorning nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Laurence Scioscio Jr. and Robert Scioscio Sr.
Danny, we will love and miss you forever. We promise our traditions and memories of you will live on. Until we meet again.
Danny's family welcomes friends and family to Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. A Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Holy Family Church, 23 Simon Rd. Enfield. Please meet directly at the church.
