Daniel Henry Sherpy , age 72, died of lung cancer September 4, 2025 at Estates at Linden in Stillwater, MN. Daniel was born on August 12, 1953, to Duane and Lois (Gilles) Sherpy in Plum City, WI. He attended Plum City Schools, graduating in 1971.
A favorite memory for Dan was his time spent as a drummer in the band, Mommy's Little Worries in the late 60's, early1970's. His adventurous side led him to hitchhiking throughout the United States. Among his many interesting occupations were working for a traveling circus; a farm where racing grey hound dogs were raised, Red Wing Shoe and Maynard Steel.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Amanda Cross and son, Mason Cross, grandchildren Dane and Vylette, special friend Aimee Cross and her daughter Melanie, brothers Rudy (Carol) Sherpy, Ryan (Sherri) Sherpy, sister Leigh (David) Weiss, Aunt Yvonne and Uncle Elwyn Manore and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents , 2 infant sisters, grandparents William and Cora (Ingli) Sherpy, Henry and Noma (Parsons) Gilles.
The family warmly thanks the staff at Estates at Linden and also Moments Hospice for their loving care.
Memorial donations will be at the discretion of the family. Private burial service will be held at the Union Cemetery in Plum City at a later date.
