Daniel J. Siggins, age 70 of Crawfordsville, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Ben Hur Health and Rehab after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on March 11, 1954 to Joseph and Anna (Thomas) Siggins in Crawfordsville. Daniel married Linda Middleton on August 16, 1975 at St. Bernard Catholic Church.
He was a graduate from the first graduating class of South Montgomery High School in 1972. Daniel worked at Mid-States for 27 years, in the Painted and Floral Wire Departments. After Mid-States closed, he worked briefly for the Highway Department and then joined the Walmart Janitorial Team, until retiring in 2005.
Daniel loved fishing, especially taking fishing trips to Kentucky and Tennessee. At home, he was found woodworking in the barn or fixing things around the house. Daniel also enjoyed shooting guns and target practice. In his younger years, he was active with Karate and Taekwondo, earning a Black Belt.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Linda Siggins; two children, Michael (Deena Britton) Siggins and Danielle Siggins; two grandchildren, Carol and Mackenzie Siggins; sister-in-law, Karen Siggins; and cousin, Anita Komorski. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, David Siggins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville, from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 5pm.
